| I'll be leaving in an hour and a half. so wish me luck. I'll write all about it when i return three days from now. I got into my first bit of trouble today no big deal. One of my bosses was kinda stern with me. It's cool though he really is a cool guy. I guess i was in the wrong anyway. But i didn't know it until he informed me. see ya later . Ow yea does carrisa still have a xanga? Wasnt she under the name hippie chick at one time?..... or am i making this up in my head? |

| My crew is great the are all quite guys with a really chilled out adult leader. We get on the trail tommorrow at 2:30. I expect wonderful things out of them they truly don't know much about camping but by the end of the trip they will have it down pat. I have to go to service tonigtht wich is cool, I've been skippin out. The preacher here hits the same stuff over and over. I think i'll start mixin it up maybe go to a jewish service just for fun. I spend a lot of my time writting wich is cool. Letters and emails and this thing keep me pritty busy if you would like my adress talk to shannon she has it. | So I finally Picked up a crew! They are from the land of Texas were everythings bigger and slightly dumber. But i can't judge them yet I havent even met them and regardless what happens or how they act. It will be an experience ill probably never forget. No worries. Today they gave us a more busy work. I, along with 30 some odd other people went into Cimmaron, wich is a tiny little town just outside philmont and picked up trash along the highway i kind of felt like i was on a chain gang but thats cool. it only lasted up until lunch. I'll probably write tommorrow and that will be my last day until i return from my treck with the texans. so it might be like three or four days. spread the word that my xanga lives again and if anyone wants to know what i'm up to the can come check it out. |

| So I'm bored out of my mind. they put us threw this program today.
it was very obvious that they just wanted to keep us out of camp for a while. I don't have any crews on schedule for the next three days. so until then i get WORK DAYS wich apparently is just busy days.
no worries though my time will come.

| So I've been here a week and then some. I have survived the training proces wich was quite brutal at parts. Carrying 65 lb bags of cement up a mountain to build a repeater tower. Base camp is cool we have lots to keep us busy. But there is one thing that kinda trips me out. Outside our camp and by outside i mean 10 feet outside deer come to bed down at night so you look out to see literaly 20 to 40 sets of green eyes looking back at you in the middle of the night. But its cool as long as the arents hungry looking eyes i'll get used to it. Crews start coming in in 2 days and they wont stop till august at any given day we will have over 3500 persons in the backcountry by the end of the summer we will have filtered through over 23000 scouts.
